Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful
unto me; for my soul trusteth in Thee; yea, in the shadow of Thy wings
will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry
unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth
up all those that be bowed down. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow
to anger, and plenteous in mercy. O Lord, Thou hast searched me, and known
me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising. Thou understandest
my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art
acquainted with all my ways. O send out Thy light and Thy truth: Let
them lead me; let them bring me unto Thy holy hill, and to Thy tabernacles. God is our refuge and strength, a very
present help in trouble. The Lord will also be a refuge for the
oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know Thy name will
put their trust in Thee; for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken
them that seek Thee. Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve
me from trouble: Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
A Short Lesson about God It is of the Lord's mercies that we are
not consumed, because His compassions fail not. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and His greatness is unsearchable.
Be encouraged by the Word of God The Lord is good to all: and His tender
mercies are over all His works. All Thy works shall praise Thee, O Lord;
and Thy saints shall bless Thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee, bind
them about thy neck. Write them upon the table of thine heart. So shalt
thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. How excellent is Thy lovingkindness, O
God! But I will sing of Thy power, yea, I will
sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning, for Thou hast been my defense
and refuge in the day of my trouble.
Have fear of the Lord Let not thine heart envy sinners, but be
thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.
Come to Jesus, Son of the Living God "Come to Me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me, for I am meek [gentle] and lowly in heart, and ye shall find
rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that
believeth on Me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life."
Walk Rightly with God Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for
Him. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all
thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left. Remove
thy foot from evil. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell
for evermore. I have chosen the way of truth, the Lord's
judgments have I laid before me.
Receive Strength and Protection The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and
my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust,
and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He
also is become my salvation.
Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies:
I flee unto Thee to hide me.
Know Some God Facts The heavens are Thine, the earth also is
Thine; as for the world and the fullness thereof, Thou hast founded them. Ah Lord God! Behold, Thou hast made the
heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there
is nothing too hard for Thee.
Seeking God There are many devices in a man’s heart,
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou
hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. Thus saith the Lord, "The Heaven is My
throne, and the earth is My footstool; Where is the house that ye build
unto Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things hath
Mine hand made, and all those things have been," saith the Lord, "But
to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit,
and trembleth at My word." Because Thy lovingkindness is better than
life, my lips shall praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Thy name.
Treasure Godly Counsel The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge,
and He overthroweth the words of the transgressor. Woe unto them that call evil good,
and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that
put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Seek Wisdom from God's Word The wisdom of the prudent is to understand
the Lord's way, but the folly of fools is deceit. As spoken to God For the Lord giveth wisdom, out of His
mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for
the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
Seek Forgiveness from Sins Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death; but the
gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. While we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us. The blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleanseth
us from all sin.
We Receive Christ through Faith For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
