Moving from Crisis to Comfort As for me, I will call upon God; and the
Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and
cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace
from the battle that was against me. In God I will praise His word, in God I
have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Be merciful unto me, O Lord; for I cry
unto Thee daily. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:
lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For Thou hast been a shelter
for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me
not be ashamed, for I put my trust in Thee. For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to
forgive; plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
A Short Lesson about God Know therefore this day, and consider it
in thine heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above, and upon the
earth beneath; there is none else. For I know that the Lord is great, and
that our Lord is above all gods. The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
and holy in all His works.
Be Encouraged by the Word of God Happy is that people, that is in such a
case; yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord. Keep thy heart with all diligence, for
out of it are the issues of life. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and
of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord
thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Have fear of the Lord Teach me Thy way, O Lord; I will walk in
Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name. By humility and the fear of the Lord are
riches, and honour, and life.
Salvation and Cleansing from Sin "I am the door: by Me if any man enter
in, he shall be saved." For whosoever shall call upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to
Thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and
cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin
is ever before me. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse
Thou me from secret faults.
Walk Rightly with God Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and
my groaning is not hid from Thee. Let not the foot of pride come against
me. The way of the wicked is an abomination
unto the Lord, but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
Receive Strength and Protection Because of His strength will I wait upon
Thee, for God is my defense. For mine enemies speak against me; and
they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, saying, "God hath
forsaken him; persecute and take him; for there is one to deliver him."
O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste for my help. The Lord shall cover thee with His feathers,
and under His wings shall thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and
buckler.
Know Some God Facts But Thou, O Lord, are a God full of compassion,
and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong
and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth,
by understanding hath He established the Heavens, by His knowledge the
depths are broken up and the clouds drop down the dew.
Seeking God Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my
God; Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken
me, O Lord, for Thy name's sake; for Thy righteousness' sake bring my
soul out of trouble. Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in
the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein
I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee. Stand in awe, and sin not. Commune with
your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
and put your trust in the Lord.
Treasure Godly Counsel Death and life are in the power of the
tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit, thereof. Go from the presence of a foolish man,
when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. What doth the Lord require of thee, but
to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.
Seek Wisdom from God's Word Happy is the man that feareth always, but
he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. When pride cometh, then cometh shame, but
with the lowly is wisdom. The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge,
and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Cleansing from Sin My hope is in Thee [Lord]. Deliver me from
all my transgressions, make me not the reproach [shame]
of the foolish. For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to
forgive; plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
