Moving from Crisis to Comfort Spoken to God The Lord is nigh (near) unto all them that call upon Him, and to all
that call upon Him in truth. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed
with grief, yea my soul and my belly. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them
that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; to such
as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do
them. Trust in God Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in Thee, let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies
triumph over me. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the
words of my mouth. Show thy marvelous lovingkindness, O Thou
that savest by Thy right hand them which put their trust in Thee from
those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide
me under the shadow of Thy wings. From the wicked that oppress me, from
my deadly enemies, who compass me about. He that dwelleth in the secret place of
the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
A Short Lesson about God As for God, His way is perfect. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is
our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us.
Be Encouraged by the Word of God I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth
right well. My substance was not hid from Thee; when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. My flesh and my heart faileth; but God
is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Trust in God Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,
and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob
for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God; which made heaven and
earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation
of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
Have fear of the Lord. The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear
Him, in those that hope in His mercy. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.
Ye shall walk after the Lord your God,
and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and ye shall
serve Him, and cleave [cling] unto Him.
Seeking God and His Way Search me, O God, and know my heart: try
me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and
lead me in the way everlasting.
Truth Revealed by Jesus "I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father [God], but by Me."
Walk Rightly with God Show me Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy
paths. Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my
salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day. He that followeth after righteousness and
mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honor. The way of the Lord is strength to the
upright; but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
Receive Strength and Protection The name of the Lord is a strong tower,
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Depart from me, ye evildoers; for I will
keep the commandments of my God. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror
by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.
Know Some God Facts Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. But I am the Lord Thy God, that divided
the sea, whose waves roared: The Lord of hosts is His name. And I have
put My words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of Thine
hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth,
and say unto Zion, thou art My people.
Seeking God Lord, I cry unto Thee: make haste unto
me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto Thee. Let my prayer be set
forth before Thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as an evening
sacrifice. Give me understanding, and I shall keep
Thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Know ye that the Lord He is God; it is
He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the
sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into
His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people;
I will sing unto Thee among the nations. For Thy mercy is great unto the
heavens, and Thy truth unto the clouds.
Treasure Godly Counsel A fool uttereth all his mind, but a wise
man keepeth it in till afterwards. Proverbs 29:11 A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous
words stir up anger.
Seek Wisdom from God's Word The ear that heareth the reproof of life
abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own
soul; but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and
the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better
than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She
[wisdom] is more precious than rubies, and all the things thou canst desire
are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand,
and in her left hand riches and honour.
A Bit of Truth O God, Thou knowest my foolishness; and
my sins are not hid from Thee
A Clean Heart Create in me a clean heart, O God; and
renew a right spirit within me.
